Roy and Jed

Meet Roy and Jed who work on the farm.

Chickens

The chicks are growing fast, we had four back in April and now they are scratching around the garden enjoying the summer.  We are not yet sure if we have any cockerels but the white Speckled Sussex is a bit feisty.  The three other Buff Orpingtons are more like "Lucky" who sat them all and proud father "Foghorn".

Durdle Door

Fantastic image of the milky way over Durdle Door taken by Mark Pellymounter.  Durdle Door is approximately 10 minutes drive from the farm or a good hour walk along the stunning Jarrasic Coast.

Durdle Door Milky Way - Trying to learn how to process images to bring out as much detail in the milky way. It is hard to get the balance right without created too much noise in the final image. To say I am pleased with this one is a bit of an understatement!
This was a 30 second exposure at ISO 3200 at 10mm lens f4. Being a very dark sky with little light polution helps to show up the milky way, but had to use a powerfull searchlight to light up the Durdle Door archway. Mark Pellymounter
